The main export of Heimdivik is skins and furs, an important commodity to the region. Most of the buildings have a tannery attached to them, and the air around the settlement is thick with the stench of flesh, entrails, and death.
The side business of the settlement is meats, which are salted, jerked, pickled, or frozen and shipped all over the region. The less desireable parts are used to attract predatory animals such as bears, wolves, and so forth to make hunting easier.
They are also trappers, trapping smaller prey like rabbits, pika, marmots to uses as bait for larger animals.
